Ice-Like Brazilian Quartz Cluster
Ice-Like Brazilian Quartz Cluster
Couldn't load pickup availability
This Brazilian quartz cluster brings together several overlapping crystals around a prominent crystal extending laterally. Smaller pointed forms gather closely around it, preserving an irregular, sharply defined silhouette.
Cool white tones and translucent edges contrast with a cloudier center, creating an appearance reminiscent of layered ice. The glass-like luster, fine surface variations, and crystal faces catch light from changing angles without making the piece feel overly bright.
Quartz is a crystalline form of silicon dioxide and defines 7 on the Mohs hardness scale. Its clarity and angular structure make this specimen well suited to quiet viewing on a desk or low shelf, where the crystal faces can be seen at close range.
Although quartz is hard, pointed terminations and the boundaries between crystals may chip under impact. Support the specimen as a whole rather than lifting it by a crystal tip, and avoid drops or sudden temperature changes.
