A polished oval cabochon of thulite from Sauland, Hjartdal, Telemark, Norway. Its subdued, reddish pink has a slightly whitish cast, giving the opaque stone a gentle and composed appearance.

Thulite is a pink, manganese-bearing variety of zoisite—the same mineral group that includes blue tanzanite. Its color and solid presence make it suitable both as a mineral example and as a quiet natural object.

Joun was drawn to the softness of its coloring. Placed on a small display surface, it can be appreciated simply for its polished form and calm tone.
