Polished Brandberg Smoky Amethyst Quartz

This polished Brandberg Quartz brings pale amethyst and grey-brown smoky zones together within a compact, rounded triangular form. The purple deepens from the left side toward the upper edge, while fine granular patterns gather on the right.

Its glossy, gently curved surface catches broad reflections. Through the clearer areas, the layered interior becomes visible, giving the stone the appearance of an ice fragment softly stained with violet.

The quartz comes from the Goboboseb Mountains in Namibia’s Brandberg Area. Amethyst, Smoky Quartz, and colorless Rock Crystal are all varieties of quartz; here, their overlapping tones create a particularly intricate viewing experience.

For closer observation, place it against a white background with soft light entering from behind. Turning it slowly under gentle room light helps separate the surface reflections from the finer internal pattern.

Quartz is suitable for regular handling, but it can still chip if dropped or struck. Keep it away from prolonged direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
