Skardu Champagne Topaz Crystal

This topaz crystal has a restrained champagne tone poised between orange and brown. A trace of white matrix remains on the base, preserving a quiet connection to the material in which it formed.
From Skardu District in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, the piece was selected for the way light refracts and diffuses through its interior. Joun recommends viewing it slowly as the light shifts, revealing changes that are easy to miss at first glance.
To Joun, the crystal suggests something formed quietly at high altitude. It works well in a specimen case or protective display box, where its internal light can remain the focus.
Care
Topaz is hard but has distinct cleavage, making it vulnerable to impact. Handle gently, avoid direct sunlight, and keep it protected when not on display.
