This polished rose quartz from Namibia has a soft, whitish pink color, with gently mottled areas of lighter and deeper tone. Its elongated, asymmetrical outline and rounded surfaces give it an unforced character, while a glossy finish catches the light.
The stone leans toward opacity, with a slight translucency that recalls pale pink frosted glass. For Joun, its gentle color has something of a flower about it. He notes that he seldom encounters this quality today.
